New Account Wizard (Account Owner only)

The setup of your account is done initially using the New Account Wizard. The Wizard walks you through the process of creating your first mailbox and the option of adding additional users to the account.

Once the account is in place, the Account Owner can edit settings from the Account link.

Create a Mailbox

Mailbox Name: Type in the mailbox name as you want it to appear in the Email Center mailbox list. Click the "Create this mailbox" button to continue.

Get Mail to your Mailbox

There are two methods available for receiving email into your Email Center Pro mailbox: connecting this mailbox to an existing account by automatically routing it through a server connection (POP), or Forwarding from an existing email account.

POP Server (recommended)

With this option, Email Center Pro retrieves your email for you. The email accounts you’d like to retrieve email from must support POP access.

Email Address: Type the address for the external email account to connect to (example: yourname@gmail.com). This starts the process of setting up the server connection between the external account and Email Center Pro.

Then, fill in the other criteria:

Host Name: Email Center Pro recognizes many common host server names from your email address (example: GMail, Yahoo, MSN, AOL) and will automatically include the host name. If it does not recognize the host server, you will need to type in the host server name.
Username: Type the email address to be routed from this POP server into your Email Center account mailbox.
Password: Type the password associated with this email address.
Use SSL: Click this option if this server requires a secure connection.
Download Copy/Leave Original: (Optional) Check this box to download a copy of the email to Email Center Pro and keep the original message on the host server.
Click to test connection: Click this link to verify the connection is established.
Connect mailbox Click this button to begin receiving emails for the existing email account to your Email Center Pro mailbox.

NOTE: You can link multiple external emails/domains to one mailbox by creating multiple POP Server connections.
Create another mailbox? You have the option to create additional mailboxes.now, or you can use the 'Account' link at any time

Forwarding 

You can forward email from your existing email addresses (e.g. sales@yourcompanyname.com, info@yourcompanyname.com). This will be the "reply-to" and "from" address for this account so that customers will always see mail as coming from sales@yourcompanyname.com or any other address you specify. 

NOTE: Forwarding is usually set up on your mail server which you will have access to through your Internet Service Provider or the service provider that manages your email. If you manage your own mail server (such as Microsoft Exchange or GMail), you will forward your email through the mail server's interface.

Add User Accounts

Once you have one or more mailboxes created, the New Account Wizard gives you the option to add additional users to your account.

NOTE: The New Account Wizard will state the maximum number of users you can add, based on your account level.

First Name: User's first name (displays with email address)
Last Name: User's last name (displays with email address)
Username: Type a descriptive name for logging in to the Email Center
Role: "User" or "Administrator." Administrators can add mailboxes and users to the Email Center account.
Email: Email address associated with this user
Password: Password can include letters, numbers or symbols and should be at least 6 characters.

Set Account Options

The final step in the New Account Wizard asks you to choose the time zone to run in and whether you want your data transmission to run using SSL secured encryption.
