Call Contact

You can now call any contact by phone (VOIP) directly from your Email Center Pro account.

NOTE: In order for this feature to work, you must list a phone number on the Contact Card (formerly Details) for the contact you are trying to call.

  1. Click the Contacts tab
  2. Click to select the desired Contact
  3. Click Open Contact on the toolbar
  4. On the left side of the screen, click Call contact
  5. A call dialog opens displaying the phone number associated with this contact
  6. Click Dial to initiate the call
  7. If you wish to record the conversation length as part of the call history, click Start Timer (at the bottom of the dialog)
  8. Use the text area in the center to record any notes about the call as you talk, or when you are finished.
  9. If you are timing the call, click Stop Timer when done
  10. Click Save Call when done to add this record to your Call Log for this contact.

The record of this call will now appear as part of the Contact history, under Recent Actions (in the left pane).

NOTE: For Email Center Pro to automatically dial a VOIP call, you must have Skype software installed, and be using a high-bandwidth connection. If you do not have VOIP, you can still use the function to record a call log from a land line or cell phone - simply type in your notes and click Save Call when done.
