Reply to Email
When you receive an email, you can reply to the original email author only (Reply) or to the author and all addressees listed (Reply All). The Reply options automatically include the email addresses in the TO:, CC:, and BCC: frames. Account administrators can also set up autoresponding for new conversations.
TIP: Use a Signature
Tired of typing your name and details in every reply? You can create a default signature for any email you send in your account Preferences.
PROCEDURES:
- Highlight the email message from the list
- Click the Reply button on the toolbar (or within the message preview)
- OR, click on the arrow next to Reply and click Reply All
- Type your response
- Apply any desired formatting to the message
- Click the Send button
Conversation moves to Archive folder
If your personal Preferences are set to automatically Archive Responded Emails, the conversation will now be in the Archive folder of the relevant mailbox.
Email address added to Contacts
In addition, the first time you Reply to an email address, it gets automatically added to your Contacts list, since it is thus qualified as a legitimate correspondent (not Spam).
