Spam Filter

Suspicious email can be flagged as 'spam' and placed in the Spam folder.

TIP: Set your spam tolerance

Account owners can adjust the spam threshold up or down, to automatically send messages straight to the Spam folder of the relevant mailbox.

Flag email as Spam

  1. Highlight the email message from the list
  2. Click the Spam button on the toolbar
  3. The conversation is now moved from the Inbox folder to the Spam folder of the relevant mailbox
  4. A confirmation message displays at the top of the screen

NOTE: Email flagged as 'spam' will not be included as part of the account quota (total emails allowed per account level). For more information about the different account levels available, please see the Pricing page.

Sort by Spam Score

  1. Open the Spam folder of the relevant mailbox
  2. The final column in the listing, Spam Score, shows you the spam score of each message relative to your current spam threshold.
  3. Click the column header to sort by Spam Score
  4. Hover over any message's spam score to see the score (shaded area) and the current spam threshold (dotted line).

Messages with a score higher than the threshold are automatically delivered to the Spam folder. The account owner can lower the Spam Threshold to block more spam or raise it to allow more messages into the Inbox.

Recover Email from Spam folder

If you receive email in your Spam folder that wasn't spam:

  1. Click on the email to select it from the list
  2. Click on the More button on the toolbar above the message list
  3. Click Recover to Inbox

Remove Email Address from Spam list (whitelisting)

If you would like to receive email from this address in the future:

  1. Highlight the email from the message list
  2. Click the Contact icon next to the sending email address
  3. A dialog will ask if you want to add the address as a contact
  4. Click Yes.

NOTE: In addition, once you reply to email, the email address automatically becomes part of your Contacts list and will not be flagged as spam.
