Create a Template
A template stores text that can be re-used to create new emails. Using templates can save time when responding to similar requests for information. You can create a template from scratch, or from an existing email reply.
NOTE: Different account levels allow different numbers of templates. For more information, see the Pricing page.
Create a new template from scratch
- Click the Templates tab to open the template list
- Click the New Template button on the toolbar
- Name: Type a name for your template
- Mailbox: Shows the mailbox within which the template will be available. Click the down arrow to choose a different mailbox.
- Tags: Type in any tags you want applied to this template for later filters, separated by commas
- Click in the template content area to create and format content for your template
- You can type or paste text from another screen
- Use the formatting buttons for font styles, bulleted or numbered lists, and more
- Add any desired Input Fields to prompt users to enter information such as Recipient Name, etc.
- Click the Save button when you are done with the template. You can edit the template at any time, if you need to.
From an email reply
Email replies can also be saved as templates.
- Click the Inbox tab to open the email list
- Highlight the email to which you wish to reply
- Choose either Reply or Reply All to write a new email
- Type the email reply
- Click the down arrow next to the Send button to access its pull-down menu
- Click Send and Save as Template
- Name: Type a name for your template
- Mailbox: Shows the mailbox within which the template will be available. Click the down arrow to choose a different mailbox.
- Tags: Type in any tags you want applied to this template for later filters, separated by commas
- Click in the template content area to edit the content for your template
- Add any desired Input Fields to prompt users to enter information such as Recipient Name, etc.
- Click the Save button when you are done with the template. You can edit the template at any time, if you need to.
